About this site
This site is designed to be a resource for study, prayer, and application of the psalms to life. I have been teaching a course in the Psalms for fifteen years at Ozark Christian College, and I want to share what I’ve learned with others. You’ll find:
A key word and image for each psalm designed to help you remember the psalm’s central theme and locate it quickly. These are largely drawn from Lawrence Kriegshauser’s book, Praying the Psalms in Christ.
Teaching Videos using animated Powerpoint presentations on most of the psalms
Commentary from my daily personal reflections on the Psalms. I meditated on 1-2 verses each day over a three year period of time and wrote about 800 pages of commentary.
Articles I’ve written on many issues in the Psalms with a particular focus on their arrangement within the overall collection
Blog posts where I relate the Psalms to current events and culture
Links to songs that are connected to each of the psalms
Resources that I have developed or discovered that are helpful in Psalms study
This website is a work in progress, and I will be adding content regularly. For comments and questions, (or to report things that are broken!) contact me here.
